In 2022 Garvey's Tralee Warriors won the Irish Super League, the Pat Duffy Cup and the Champions Trophy in the same season. It was the club's second league title, three years after the first in 2019.

The club had been built for this. In May 2016 two local sides, Tralee Imperials and St Brendan's, came together under the name Tralee Town BC. By July they had a new name, a crest and colours, and Tralee Warriors was the club. Kieran Donaghy, the Gaelic footballer who also played basketball, was one of its founding fathers. In that first season Trae Pemberton was named Men's Super League Player of the Year. The Champions Trophy followed in 2017 and 2018.

The Tralee Sports Complex, the 800-seat hall the club had used as its main home, lost its roof to heavy snow on 6 January 2025 and closed indefinitely. The Warriors moved to MTU Tralee and Castleisland Community Centre. In 2026 they are launching a Basketball Academy with Presentation Secondary School Castleisland, so the youth side now has a base in the same town.

Neptune, the team beaten in that 2022 cup final, are the club's main rivals. The nearer contest is the Kerry derby with St Mary's Castleisland. Since the roof came down, the Warriors have been playing in St Mary's home town.
