The Killester women won the Super League in 2023–24 and the Champions Trophy in 2024, then took the league again the following season. Their previous league titles had come in 1978–79 and 1979–80.

The men got there first. They won three league titles in a row in the second half of the 1970s, less than ten years after Father Michael Casey, a priest at St Brigid's Parish in Killester, started the club in 1967. Casey had played basketball in his native Kerry, and the first sessions were held in the car park of Killester school. Some of those early sessions grew into a club that now has about 500 members. An 11-member executive committee and more than 80 volunteers run it.

The men's cup record starts in 1987, when they first won the Pat Duffy National Cup, and reaches 2025, the sixth win. The league brought them titles in 2001, 2007 and 2010, and again in 2011 and 2014. Meetings with FloMAX Liffey Celtics, the club's main rival, are billed as a Dublin derby.

Family names run through the club's history. Martin, Mark, Jonny and Robbie Grennell have all played for Killester and coached there. Among the outside signings, Jermaine Turner was named Irish MVP by Eurobasket in 2011, the year of the second of two consecutive league titles.

The club's colours are orange and black, and it plays in a hall operated by the Irish Wheelchair Association in Clontarf. The men's most recent league title dates from 2013–14.
