EPG Koblenz Baskets

Matches against Römerstrom Gladiators Trier are billed as the Rhineland-Palatinate derby. The club itself is a merger. Lützel Baskets, whose roots go back to 1956, and Post-SV Koblenz, which dates from 1931, joined forces in 2012 as a Spielgemeinschaft , a joint venture, under the name SG Lützel-Post Koblenz.

From 2014 to 2019 the team was Conlog Baskets Koblenz, then EPG Baskets from 2019. In 2024 it became the EPG Guardians, and in June 2025 it went back to EPG Baskets.

The 2. Bundesliga ProB title in 2023 is the result that moved the club up to the ProA, the second tier of German basketball, where it plays now. Dominique Johnson was part of that championship side. Stephan Dohrn took over as head coach in May 2025.

Isaac Bonga and Joshua Bonga started out here before moving to Skyliners Frankfurt, and Isaac went on to play in the BBL and the NBA.

The EPG Arena, which has also been known as the CGM Arena, the Conlog Arena and the Sporthalle Oberwerth, holds 5,000 for general events. Set up for basketball, it seats 3,387.
