OrangeAcademy Ulm

The OrangeCampus in Neu-Ulm is a training facility first and an arena second. Its main court holds 500 spectators. The club has played there since the 2020/2021 season, when the campus opened.

The team began in 1994 in Weißenhorn, Bavaria, as FV Weißenhorn, and passed through several names, including BG Illertal. In 2012 it entered a formal cooperation with BBU '01, the organisation behind ratiopharm Ulm, and became the Weißenhorn Youngstars. In 2017 it took the name OrangeAcademy and moved to Ulm, playing first in the Kuhberghalle in Neu-Ulm so that it sat closer to the senior team's operations.

As the Youngstars, they won the ProB, the third tier, in 2016–17 and beat the PS Karlsruhe Lions in the final to earn promotion to ProA. Danny Jansson, head coach from 2014 to 2019, was named ProB Coach of the Year that season. David Krämer, named ProB Youngster of the Year in 2017, later played for FC Bayern Munich and Crvena zvezda.

Jeremy Sochan played there in 2020–2021 and was then drafted 9th overall by the San Antonio Spurs. Fans call the team "Die jungen Wilden", the Young Wild Ones, and their main local rivalry is the Swabian Derby, most often against BG Hessing Leitershofen/Stadtbergen.

In 2026 the team reached the ProB final again but lost to ETB Miners Essen. Florian Flabb had coached the side for two seasons by then, and Mehdy Mary took over afterwards. Sochan went from those 500 seats to ninth in the draft.
