The 2020s have brought the mirror image: runner-up finishes in the Cupa României in 2020, 2023 and 2026, with the trophy itself going elsewhere each time.

The club has changed its name almost as often as it has changed its fortunes. It started out in 1986 as Constructorul Arad, passed through Constructorul CSS, Constar U and BC Arad, became BC ICIM Arad, and now plays as FCC Baschet UAV Arad — the same institution under five labels.

Monika Brosovszky is the name attached to the club's best years: born in Arad in 1974, daughter of the UTA Arad footballer Ladislau Brosovszky, she won four championships and three Central Europe League titles here on her way to more than 250 caps for Romania.

Arad plays its home games at Sala Sporturilor Victoria, a hall holding 1,500, in yellow and blue.
