Graz UBSC

Two basketball unions in Graz, BUG (Basketball Union Graz) and UBBC (Union Basketball Club Graz), merged in 1977 into Union Basket Sport Club Graz, or UBSC. The club dates its own beginning to 21 January 1956.

For most of the decades since, the name on the shirts carried a bank. UBSC Raiffeisen Graz played in yellow at home and blue away. The title the club has never won is the Austrian Superliga, the former Bundesliga. In 2010–11 Graz lost the final to Swans Gmunden 69–64. They reached the final again in 2022–23 and lost to the same opponent, 73–67.

The fixture that matters most locally is against the Kapfenberg Bulls, known as the Steirisches Derby, the Styrian Derby. CITIES Panthers Fürstenfeld are the other regional side they meet.

In January 2020 five players were arrested in a match-fixing case. The club's management was cleared of wrongdoing. Anton Maresch, who began his career at the club in 2007, went on to play for the Austrian national team.

On 30 June 2026 the club became Eagles Graz, officially Eagles Raiffeisen UBSC Graz. The change came under new management and brought a new eagle logo and black, gold and white colours in place of blue and yellow. The Raiffeisen Sportpark, which holds about 3,000, remains the home arena. In law the club is still UBSC, the name the two unions took when they merged in 1977.
