Oberwart Gunners

In the early 1990s Alfred Wertner led a rebuild that brought it back to the top flight, and it has played in the Austrian Basketball Bundesliga (ÖBL) every season since 1995.

The club won the Austrian Cup in 1995 and, in 1995–96, reached the last 32 of the Saporta Cup. Three more Cup wins followed, in 1999, 2005 and 2021. The league title took longer. It came in 2011 under Neno Ašćerić.

The 2016 season mattered most. Chris Chougaz coached the side to the championship and the Cup in the same year, the club's first "Double". Adomas Drungilas was named MVP of that year's Cup Final Four. Seamus Boxley had already been the league's MVP in 2012–13.

Titles in 2024 and 2025 made it four championships. Different coaches won them, Horst Leitner the first and Matthew Otten the second. Leitner then came back as head coach in 2025 and took the team to the 2025–26 final, where Kapfenberg Bulls beat them.
