Two finals won, three lost — all in the same competition. Since winning the League Cup of Serbia in 2008–09, Metalac Valjevo has been beaten in that same final three more times, in 2009–10, 2011–12 and 2017–18, before taking the trophy again in 2012–13.
The club was set up in Valjevo in March 1948 under the name Budućnost, before a factory sponsor's backing brought the rename to Metalac in 1954.
Metalac now competes across the Super League, the First League and the Korać Cup, with Nikola Janković, the 2017 ABA League MVP.
