KK Tajfun Sentjur

The spring of 2015 still gets called a miracle in Šentjur: a club with a budget nowhere near Krka Novo Mesto's or Cedevita Olimpija's went 3–1 up on Rogaška in the Slovenian First League final and took the title. The same season brought the Slovenian Supercup, won against Krka.

In 1990–91, unpaid obligations to players dropped it into the lowest division, and it took until 2000 to climb back to the top flight, sealed by winning the Second League that year. A runner-up finish in the Slovenian Cup in 2021, lost to Krka, showed the club still competing near the top well after its title season had passed.

Under the name Tajfun, or earlier as Alpos Šentjur and Kemoplast Šentjur, the club has changed its sponsor-linked identity more than once, settling back on Tajfun in 2012.
