MBA Moscow

Basket Hall Moscow seats 5,000. MBA plays there in red and white, and the academy is the reason the club exists at all.

The Moscow Basketball Federation created it in May 2013 as the successor to a youth association that had played one season, 2011/12. In 2013/14 the team finished second in the Higher League, the second tier, and moved up from there.

In 2024 the men's team began competing as MBA-MAI, after a partnership with the Moscow Aviation Institute. The short name stayed in everyday use. Two years later the partnership had its first trophy: the team won the Russian Cup in 2025/26, beating Pari Nizhny Novgorod in the final. The Kondrashin and Belov Cup followed in 2026, with UNICS Kazan beaten in that final.

Sergei Voznyuk takes over as head coach for 2026/27, succeeding Vasily Karasev. Evgeny Voronov is captain, and Tatiana Kocharyan is president. The Moscow derbies against CSKA Moscow and Dynamo Moscow give the club its sharpest fixtures.
