Novosadska Novi Sad Women

In 2010 three former players, Dejana Cvjetan, Ljubica Drljača and Selena Pavlović Nestorović, sat down to build something Novi Sad basketball did not yet have: an academy that would take girls through from their first dribbles to senior level under one roof. Cvjetan had worn the shirt of the Yugoslav national team, Drljača had played in the EuroLeague and for Serbia, and what they set up carried their name into its own — Novosadska Ženska Košarkaška Akademija, known around the league simply as Novosadska ŽKA.

The senior side plays in the Prva ženska liga Srbije, the second tier of Serbian women's basketball, in pink and white. It is the academy work underneath that has produced the club's clearest results: in 2024 the Pionirke side, Novosadska's under-15s, beat Vizura 68:57 in the final to take the Serbian championship at that age group. A year earlier the Juniorke had already taken bronze at the national under-19 championship, building on the Vojvodina provincial title they won in 2020/21. Lara Radulović and Tamara Jovančević, both capped for Serbia's under-20 side, have come through the same production line.

Matches are played at SPENS.

The fixture that matters most in Novi Sad is against Vojvodina. Games between the two are billed locally as the city derby.
