Orléans Loiret Basket

The trophy that still gets talked about in Orléans is the French Cup, taken in 2009–10 with a 73–69 win over Gravelines in the final. The following year the "Entente Orléanaise" name was dropped, Saint-Jean-de-Braye and Fleury-les-Aubrais stepped back as co-sponsoring towns, and the club became simply Orléans Loiret Basket.

That identity had been built through mergers rather than a single founding. OLB came together in 1993 out of two local sides, CJF Fleury-les-Aubrais and ABC Saint-Jean-de-Braye, and grew again in 1997 when Orléans Basket, itself a 1989 merger, joined in — a move that let the team settle into the renovated Palais des Sports in the city. Professional status followed in 2002 with promotion to Pro B, and the 2005–06 Pro B title sent the club into the top division for the first time. A runner-up finish in Pro A came two seasons later, in 2007–08.

The club has since bounced between tiers, relegated in 2017, back up in 2019, down again in 2022. What has stayed constant is a growing appetite for the second division: back-to-back Leaders Cup Pro B titles in 2025 and 2026, against Boulazac and then Roanne. Laurent Sciarra and Adrien Moerman both wore the shirt on their way to the French national team.
