Pallacanestro Forlì 2.015

When Fulgor Libertas Forlì went bankrupt, the city was left without top-level basketball. In May 2015 Giuseppe Rossi put together a replacement, and the name he chose said what it was for: 2.015, a second version of the same project. The Biancorossi, named after the white and red of their shirts, opened in Serie B that autumn under Luigi Garelli.

The first season went faster than anyone could have planned. Forlì finished second in Group A, won the playoffs and went up to Serie A2. They also took the Serie B LNP Cup in 2016, beating Eurobasket Roma 78–64 in the final.

The second division was harder. In 2016–17 they finished 15th in the East Group and stayed up only by winning the play-out against Chieti. They have not dropped out of Serie A2 since. Marcelo Nicola took them to their first playoff appearance, and Sandro Dell'Agnello ran the side from 2019 to 2022.

The derbies give the club much of its edge. In 2018 Forlì beat Fortitudo Bologna 91–67, a result still cited in the region. The rivalry with Basket Rimini sharpened after violent clashes in 2023, and the two clubs are now kept well apart in the mind of the local crowd. Forlì play at the Unieuro Arena, also called PalaGalassi, which holds 5,675 for basketball.

The best stretch came under Antimo Martino. In 2023 Forlì reached the Serie A2 Finals and lost to Cremona. In 2024 they won the Coppa Italia LNP di Serie A2, and they went to the semi-finals that year and again in 2025. Bob McAdoo, the NBA Hall of Famer, came back to the club as a guest in 2024–25. Francesco Nanni now coaches the side.

Forlì have not yet won the Serie A2 title, and the league has not sent them up to Serie A.
