Ruvo Di Puglia

Two clubs, Basket Ruvo and Basket Molfetta, stopped competing separately in 1996 and put their players together as Pallacanestro Fiore di Puglia. Ruvo's own basketball was older than that: A.S. Basket Ruvo had been playing in the town since the 1950s. The merged side kept going through several changes of identity. It became ASD Ruvo di Puglia Basket in 2008, and sponsors later put their names on it: Crifo Wines, Tecnoswitch, Talos.

The results came slowly. Ruvo won Serie C1 (Girone G) in 2002 and then lost promotion playoff finals in Serie B2 in 2006 and again in 2007. Another twelve years passed before the next trophy, the Serie C Gold Puglia promotion playoffs in 2019.

The 2025 playoffs in Serie B Nazionale brought the club's first promotion to Serie A2. Ruvo beat Herons Basket Montecatini 3–0 in the final series, and the PalaColombo, which holds 2,700, hosted a level of basketball it had not seen before.

The club then turned to the market in the middle of its first A2 season. In 2026 it signed Russ Smith for the second half of 2025–2026. Ruvo's nearest rival is Basket Corato, and the two meet in the "Ruvo-Corato derby". Ostuni is also a regular opponent.
