Urania Milano

In June 2019, in Montecatini, Urania beat Amatori Pescara in the Serie B National Final Four. The win took the club into Serie A2 for the first time. Davide Villa was the coach.

The club began with a group of friends from the parish of Santa Maria del Suffragio, in the Porta Vittoria district of Milan. The name of the team they chose came from a magazine. A friend of the founder sent copies from Michigan, and they carried stories about the University of Kentucky Wildcats. From those pages came the nickname, the blue and red colours and the wildcat that sits at the centre of the badge.

The first season in Serie A2, 2019-20, was cancelled by the pandemic before it could be judged. Milan has bigger names in the sport, and Urania is usually called the city's second team.

The club has also kept a youth academy, whose products include Morgan Rashed, called up to the Italian under-20 side. Alessandro Gentile, an Italian international, played for the club from 2024 to 2026. Stefano Sacripanti took over as head coach in 2026.

Home games are played at the Palalido, now branded the Allianz Cloud, which holds 5,347 for basketball.
