Rimini

The team reached Serie A1 for the first time in 1984, beating Vigevano in the playoffs, and came back to the top flight in 1997.

The Crabs nickname belongs to a later era: it comes from the logo the club used between 2001 and 2011. In 2003 the team left Palasport Flaminio, its home since 1977, for the 105 Stadium (later the RDS Stadium), and did not return until 2011.

In 2018 the old Basket Rimini Crabs collapsed under debt and dropped into Serie C. Fans and local figures set up Rinascita Basket Rimini and started again in Serie C Gold. In 2020 the new organisation acquired the historic federation registration number 00122, which gave it the old club's name and history. Promotion to Serie A2 followed in 2021–22.

Playing as Dole Basket Rimini, it beat Tezenis Verona 77–58 in the final of the Lega Nazionale Pallacanestro (LNP) Coppa Italia. Pierpaolo Marini was named most valuable player. The Supercoppa was a different story: Rimini lost the final in 2025 and again in 2026, when UEB Gesteco Cividale won 85–74.

Of those who wore the shirt in the earlier decades, Carlton Myers is the name that carries furthest. He was twice named the Italian league's most valuable player, and won gold with Italy at EuroBasket 1999.
