Ana Šarić scored 19 points in a cup final against Cinkarna Celje. She came up through Slovenian youth selections, playing the Mondial in 2014 and POFEM in Tbilisi the year after.

KK Triglav Kranj started life in 1950 as the basketball section of TVD Partizan Kranj, taking the Triglav name four years later. Locally the team is sometimes called Triglavan, though the club has never adopted the word as an official nickname.

Cinkarna Celje is the team that defines Triglav's ceiling. Between 2011 and 2024, Celje won thirteen straight national titles at Kranj's expense. In 2013–14, when Triglav beat Domžale 65–47, and in 2017–18, when they beat Cinkarna Celje itself 72–68. Five further runner-up finishes in the cup, most recently in 2021.

Home games are played at Športna Dvorana Planina.

A 2025 run took Triglav back into the 1.
