The Městská sportovní hala in Chomutov holds 1,700. It is where Levhartice Chomutov built the run that took them to the top of the European Women's Basketball League in 2022/23.

The basketball section traces back to 1946, though the name on the shirt has changed with the times more than once — Levharti Chomutov only since 2013, after stops as BK Chomutov, BK ASK Chomutov and, before that, VTJ VALZAP DIOSS Chomutov. The EWBL triumph came with Kateřina Bartoňová named MVP of the Final Four, and the same season the team took bronze in the Czech Women's Basketball League, its best domestic league finish. The Czech Cup has proved a harder nut: Levhartice reached the final in 2022/23 and again in 2023/24, losing both times to Žabiny Brno.

Chomutov now has a rivalry closer to home. LOH 2028 Chomutov, a club formed only recently, joined the ŽBL in 2024/25, and meetings between the two are known locally as the "School Match" — a derby played out within the same city rather than across the country.
