About the player
Chris Forino-Joseph reached the professional game by an unusual route. Colchester United let him go after his time in their under-23s, where he made no senior appearance, and he began his senior career at Wingate & Finchley in non-league football. Brentford's youth system, where he spent 2010 to 2016, had come earlier, along with a spell at Cheshunt.
From there he moved to Loughborough University for a season, and in April 2021 he signed for Wycombe Wanderers on a free transfer. He stayed three years. In 2023–24, his final season there, he was part of the squad that reached the EFL Trophy final.
Bolton Wanderers signed him in July 2024, again on a free transfer, on a three-year contract. He is a right-footed centre-back and, at 191 cm.
His international career runs separately from his club path. He committed to Saint Lucia in December 2022 and made his debut for the national side in 2024. He has won two caps, and one of them brought a goal against Grenada on 9 September 2024 in CONCACAF Nations League B.
The years at Wingate & Finchley and Loughborough University were spent outside the professional game. He returned to it at Wycombe and now plays his football at Bolton.
