David Josué Dioses Agurto

David Josué Dioses Agurto came through the Unión Comercio youth ranks, joining the club in 2014 and making his professional debut on 20 May 2016. He established himself as a regular starter from 2017 and scored his first professional goal against Sporting Cristal in 2018, but Unión Comercio's relegation in 2019 ended that spell.

Deportivo Municipal took him on in January 2020, and a year later he signed for Carlos A. Mannucci, where he made 32 league appearances and scored twice over a year and a half. Short stints followed at Ayacucho FC and Deportivo Garcilaso, the latter bringing 30 league games through 2023, before spells at Sport Huancayo, Comerciantes Unidos and Los Chankas took him through 2024 and into 2025. He signed for UTC Cajamarca in January 2025, a deal that runs into the 2026 season, and now wears the number 8 shirt in midfield, operating in both defensive and offensive roles.

His clearest brush with the senior national team came in September 2020, when Ricardo Gareca called him into the 30-man squad for World Cup qualifiers against Brazil and Paraguay. He did not feature in those matches.

Across a decade in Peruvian football, Dioses has built a career on stability rather than silverware, moving between mid-table and lower-table sides without lifting a major title.
