About the player
Dehmaine Tabibou joined the Nantes academy in 2020 after coming through the youth ranks at Bourget FC, Blanc-Mesnil SF and Sarcelles AAS. He signed his first professional contract with the club in October 2022, and progress through the reserve side followed rather than a loan spell elsewhere: over three seasons with Nantes II he made 22 appearances and scored twice before being pulled into senior contention.
His first-team debut came on 15 September 2024, when he was sent on as a substitute against Reims in a match Nantes lost 1–2 at home. He has since made 38 senior league appearances for the club, scoring once. Nantes rewarded that progress in 2025 with a contract extension running until 2030.
Tabibou has moved steadily up the French youth international pathway. He was capped seven times for the under-18s, then became a regular for the under-19s, where he scored against Denmark at the 2024 UEFA European Under-19 Championship as France finished runners-up. Stepping up to the under-20s, he has scored four goals in 12 caps and was part of the side that won the Maurice Revello Tournament in 2025. He has since added caps at under-21 level. Although eligible for the Comoros through his father, he has represented France exclusively at youth level.
Born in Drancy, Tabibou wears the number 17 shirt for Nantes as a central midfielder.
