Daniel Toma

Daniel Toma came through the academy at FCSB, where he captained the under-19 side. His first senior involvement came in the Cupa României in September 2018, a single appearance before the club sent him out on loan to build experience. At Farul Constanța he found regular football in Liga II, making 24 appearances and scoring twice.

The move that shaped his career came in August 2020, when he joined CS Mioveni. He stayed with the club for four years, making 71 appearances in the first two seasons alone and adding a further 27 in 2023–24, during which Mioveni won promotion via the Liga II title. By the time the campaign wrapped up, Toma was no longer part of the squad that completed the job, having already left for FC Voluntari on a free transfer in July 2024.

He has continued at a similar level in 2025–26, with 23 appearances and two assists so far.

Toma has represented Romania at youth level, earning caps for the under-19 side during the 2018–19 UEFA European Under-19 Championship qualifying campaign, and making one appearance for the under-21s in a friendly in 2021. One incident that stands out from his time at Mioveni came in a match against Farul Constanța in July 2022, when a foul on Robert Moldoveanu was initially punished with a yellow card before VAR intervention upgraded it to a red.
