About the player
Dilara Açıkgöz moved to the boys' teams at Sportfreunde Schwäbisch Hall because she wanted more physical challenge, and stayed with boys' youth football through her time at FSV Waiblingen in the Regionalliga before Eintracht Frankfurt's academy brought her in in 2021.
She played for Eintracht Frankfurt II in the 2. Frauen-Bundesliga before making her senior debut for the first team against 1. FC Köln on 23 April 2023. In November 2024 she extended her contract with the club until June 2027.
She reached the final of the 2023 UEFA Women's U19 Championship and was awarded the Bronze Fritz-Walter-Medaille in the U19 category that year. She has since returned to international football with the U20 and U23 teams, scoring against Denmark to earn a "Goal of the Month" award.
Holding dual German and Turkish nationality, she has represented Germany at every youth level so far, without yet featuring for either senior national team.
