Eduard Pap

Eduard Pap spent six years at FC Botoșani, from his arrival on a free transfer in the summer of 2017 until the summer of 2023. He became a key player there and the club's captain.

He came up through the Marcel Băban football school in Jimbolia, where he trained from 2007 to 2013. He played once for Romania at under-19 level, in 2012. His first senior club was ACS Poli Timișoara, and he was there when the side won the Liga II title in 2014–15. Luceafărul Oradea followed in 2016, and that season ended with another title, this time in Liga III. In the winter of 2016–17 he moved to ASA Târgu Mureș, and a few months later he signed for Botoșani.

In January 2024 he moved on to SC Oțelul Galați, again without a fee. That spring he reached the final of the Cupa României with Oțelul, although the club did not win the trophy.

Pap returned to Botoșani in the summer of 2024, but his contract was terminated by mutual consent in February 2025. A month later he signed for CSC Dumbrăvița. In July 2025 he joined Csíkszereda Miercurea Ciuc, where he now plays. Every one of his recent moves, from Botoșani to Győr and on to Csíkszereda, was a free transfer.

In Romania's top flight he has conceded 54 goals in 52 Liga I matches. In Liga II the figure is 24 goals in 35 matches.
