János Krisztián Hegedűs

Hegedűs's move to Csíkszereda began as a loan from Paks in the summer of 2024 and became a permanent free transfer a year later. In his first season the club played in Liga II, and he scored once. In 2025–2026 the team is in Liga I, and he has played 24 times.

Loans have marked much of his career. He joined the Haladás academy in 2011 and made two first-team appearances in 2014–2015. The following season he went to Budaörs, where he played 29 matches and scored twice. Back at Haladás in 2016–2017, he played 16 times and scored once before leaving in February 2017.

That move took him to Puskás Akadémia. He played seven games for the reserves in NB II, then 14 in the top flight in 2017–2018, with two goals. In 2018–2019 he made 22 appearances and scored two more. In 2019–2020 he did not play for the first team and was sent to Diósgyőr for the second half of the season, where he made 16 appearances.

Diósgyőr made the deal permanent in 2020. He played 25 matches in 2020–2021 and 22 in 2021–2022. After a further three games early in 2022–2023 he moved on. Short spells at Vasas and Paks followed, and in the second half of 2023–2024 he played 12 NB II games on loan at BFC Siófok.

At international level he won one cap for Hungary Under-18s in 2013 and five for the Under-21s in 2017 and 2018. In May 2018 the national coach, Georges Leekens, called him into the senior training squad.
