About the player
Márton Eppel scored five goals for Csíkszereda against Voluntari in August 2025.
That came at Budapest Honvéd. Eppel arrived in 2016 after spells at MTK Budapest, Paks and Dunaújváros, and in 2016–17 he finished as the top scorer in the Nemzeti Bajnokság I with 16 goals. Honvéd won the league title in the same spell. His form brought a call-up to the senior Hungary national team, and he won eight caps between 2017 and 2018.
In 2018 he left for Kazakhstan and Kairat Almaty, where he won the Kazakhstan Cup in his first season. A short stay at Cercle Brugge in 2020 followed before he went back to Honvéd for two more years. Earlier in his career he had also spent a season on loan at NEC Nijmegen.
Diósgyőr signed him in 2022, and the club won the NB II title during his season there. He then tried Poland with Warta Poznań, played for Nyíregyháza, and in July 2025 moved to Csíkszereda Miercurea Ciuc.
