Gustavo da Silva Cunha

Born in São Paulo, he came through a string of modest Brazilian clubs — Taquaritinga, Sobradinho, Inter de Bebedouro, back to Taquaritinga, then Comercial.

The move that changed things was a loan to C.D. Nacional in August 2022. He spent two seasons there, and by 2023–24 he had become one of the most productive attackers in Liga Portugal 2: a place in the Team of the Year, the Player of the Month award for April 2024, and the division's top assist provider with 12 to his name. That form persuaded Vitória de Guimarães to sign him permanently that August, on a contract running to 2028.

Since arriving in Guimarães he has kept his place in the squad, passing 44 appearances and doubling into double figures for goals. The clearest moment of his time there so far came off the bench: brought on in the Taça da Liga final, he was part of the side that beat Braga 2–1 to lift the trophy. He has not been capped by Brazil's senior national team, and the bulk of his story so far belongs to Portugal's second tier and to Guimarães rather than to the country where he was born.
