Jamal Akua Lowe

Jamal Lowe had started at Barnet, made his debut there in 2011 and signed a professional contract in October 2012. Over the next two years he went out on loan to Hayes & Yeading United, Boreham Wood, Hitchin Town, St Albans City, Farnborough and Hemel Hempstead Town. He left Barnet for good in January 2015, joining St Albans City, and moved to Hemel Hempstead Town later that year.

At Hampton & Richmond he scored 29 goals in 48 league appearances, and in October 2016 Portsmouth signed him. His first season there ended with the EFL League Two title. In 2018–19 he won the EFL Trophy with the club. He was also named PFA Fans' Player of the Month in League One twice, in August and December 2018.

Wigan Athletic signed him in August 2019. A year later Swansea City paid a reported £800,000 for him, and AFC Bournemouth followed in August 2021 with a reported £1.5 million. In 2023 Bournemouth loaned him to Queens Park Rangers, and for 2023–24 he returned to Swansea on loan. When his Bournemouth contract expired in June 2024, he joined Sheffield Wednesday on a free transfer. He was named EFL League One Player of the Month there in August 2026.

Born in Harrow, Lowe earned one cap for England C before choosing Jamaica. He made his senior debut for them in a friendly against the USA in March 2021. He played in CONCACAF qualifying for the 2022 World Cup and scored against Suriname in the 2022–23 Nations League. In 2024 he was part of the Jamaica side that took bronze at the CONCACAF Nations League Finals.
