Jack Moylan

Jack Moylan scored a hat-trick on his senior debut for the Republic of Ireland, in a 5–0 friendly win over Grenada in Murcia on 16 May 2026. No Irish player had done that on a first cap for 39 years, since David Kelly. He has two caps and three goals.

The route there began in Dublin, in the Bohemians academy. He won the Under-19 National League in 2018 and 2019 and the Enda McGuill Cup in 2018. He made his first-team debut in October 2019 and signed his first professional contract in November 2020.

Moylan's first real run of senior football came on loan at Wexford in the second half of 2021. He played 14 games there before returning in November. Shelbourne then signed him on a free transfer, and he joined them in January 2022.

His best year in Ireland was 2023. He finished level with Jonathan Afolabi as the Premier Division's top scorer on 15 goals, was named in the PFAI Team of the Year and won the League of Ireland Player of the Month award for October.

Lincoln City had already agreed a pre-contract deal with him in September 2023, and he arrived on a free transfer in January 2024. A brace against Barnsley that March earned a League One Goal of the Month nomination.

The 2025–26 season was his strongest in England. Lincoln won League One and went up to the Championship. Moylan was picked in the EFL League One Team of the Season and the PFA League One Team of the Year. He was also nominated for EFL League One Player of the Season and for the PFA Players' Player of the Year.

In August 2026 he moved to Cardiff City on a four-year contract running to 2030. The undisclosed fee was the largest Lincoln have received for a player.
