About the player
Karoline Olesen came through Varde IF before moving to the Dana Cup Academy linked to Fortuna Hjørring. She made her senior debut for Fortuna in August 2021, aged 16, and scored in that first match. Over two seasons at the club she made 55 league appearances, and in her final campaign, 2022/2023, she was named Elitedivisionen Player of the Month.
In August 2023 Olesen signed for Everton Women on a two-year deal. She made 42 league appearances for the club and scored her only goal for them in a Women's FA Cup tie against Aston Villa in January 2024. Her contract expired in June 2025 and she left as a free agent, before Malmö FF announced her signing on a free transfer until 2028.
At international level, Olesen has represented Denmark through the youth ranks, with caps for the U16, U17, U19 and U23 sides; she has scored three goals for the U19s and one for the U23s. She has trained with the senior squad but is yet to win a senior cap.
