About the player
Lovisa Breland took up football at the age of five with BK Höllviken, her hometown club, and stayed there until 2024, when she moved to Malmö FF at 14. She began in the academy side in Division 3, then in early 2025 stepped up to the F19 squad, where she scored five goals in seven matches during the spring Allsvenskan campaign.
Breland made her senior debut for Malmö FF that summer and signed a three-year contract with the club. She has since made nine Damallsvenskan appearances and two in the UEFA Women's Champions League, scoring once for the senior side. Progress that swift, from a regional third-tier academy to first-team minutes in continental competition inside little more than a year.
At international level, Breland has represented Sweden at Under-17 level, earning five caps and scoring twice, with goals coming during Euro U17 Women's qualification. She has not yet featured for a senior national side.
