About the player
Máté Ódor made his senior debut on 14 February 2020, for Szeged-Csanád Grosics Akadémia. He had come from the youth system at Fehérvár FC II, the club of his home city Székesfehérvár, where he played in the U17 and U19 sides. He moved to Szeged on a free transfer.
Szeged gave him the regular football that shaped his career. Over the next two years he made 67 league appearances and scored one goal.
In August 2022 he joined Vasas FC. He was there until 2026, and his contract ran to 30 June of that year. Vasas are a club with a Hungarian Cup and Nemzeti Bajnokság II titles in their history.
In 2026 his path led abroad, to Csíkszereda. He signed on a one-year loan from Vasas, with an option to buy. It is the first time he has played for a club outside Hungary.
Ódor is right-footed and can play at right-back or in the centre of defence.
His only international appearance so far came at youth level, one cap for the Hungary U17 side.
