Mario Climent Plá

Mario Climent Plá is a left-footed left-back who came through the youth ranks at Levante UD and was promoted to the reserve side, Atlético Levante, in 2021. Rather than staying put, he spent the first half of the 2021–22 season on loan at Torrent C.F. in the Tercera Federación before returning to Atlético Levante to continue his development.

His career since has moved in steady steps through the lower tiers of Spanish football. In August 2023 he signed for FC Cartagena B in the Segunda Federación on a free transfer, and a year later, in July 2024, he joined AD Mérida in the Primera Federación. The breakthrough came in January 2025, when Cádiz CF activated his release clause for a fee of around €90,000 to €100,000 and brought him into the Segunda División, where he signed a contract running to June 2028. He scored his first goal as a professional that same month.

In August 2026, Climent left Spain for the first time, joining FC Arouca in Portugal's Primeira Liga for a fee that matched almost exactly what Cádiz had paid for him, around €100,000. He put pen to paper on a contract until June 2028, with an option for a further year, joining a defensive line that already includes other Spanish players at the club.
