Marvin Schieb

Marvin Schieb was born in Ellwangen, Germany, but built his career on the other side of the continent, in Romanian football, and it is Romania he represents internationally — he played for the country's under-17, under-19 and under-21 sides, having never turned out for Germany at any level.

His path through Romanian football started at youth level with Interstar Sibiu, Gaz Metan Mediaș and Pandurii Târgu Jiu before he settled at Universitatea Cluj, where he finished his development in 2015. His senior debut season there brought just a single league appearance, and when the club won the Liga II title and the Romanian Cup that year, Schieb had no real part in it, having barely featured for the first team.

He moved on a free transfer to ASA Târgu Mureș, then to ASU Politehnica Timișoara, where he stayed for two seasons with 15 league appearances and two goals. A move to Hungary followed in January 2020, joining FK Csíkszereda Miercurea Ciuc, where he spent three years. Short spells at CSC 1599 Șelimbăr and then FC Voluntari, which he joined as a free agent, have kept him moving through Romania's football pyramid.

Schieb has not collected any individual honours or major team titles of his own during a career built mostly around lower-tier Romanian and Hungarian clubs, with none of his transfers involving a disclosed fee.
