About the player
Matej Mamić came through the Croatian giant's youth ranks, starting with the U17 side before moving up to Dinamo Zagreb II, where he made twenty appearances between 2021 and 2022.
After leaving Dinamo in 2023, Mamić's career took him through Croatia's lower and mid-tier clubs. He spent a season at NK Sesvete before signing for Slovenian side NK Radomlje on a free transfer in 2024. It was at Radomlje that he settled into a regular starting role, making 64 appearances and scoring once. Radomlje had won the 2. SNL title and promotion to the top flight the year before he joined the club, so that success came before his time there rather than during it.
Mamić's only recognition at international level came early, when he was called up to Croatia's U-15 squad for the Delle Nazioni tournament in 2017. He has not featured for any of the Croatian youth sides above that level, nor for the senior national team.
His move to FC Voluntari came as a free transfer once his contract at Radomlje expired, with the Croatian defender signing through to 2027.
