About the player
Roman Květ scored the opening goal against Club Brugge in November 2024, in a game Dender went on to lose 4–1. A month later he scored again and set up another in a 3–2 away win at Anderlecht. Both games came in his first season in Belgium, and both fell in a year when he played 38 league matches and scored seven goals.
Květ had arrived in June 2024 on loan from Viktoria Plzeň. In May 2025 Dender exercised their purchase option and signed him until June 2027. The 2025/26 season brought 32 league appearances and five goals.
His career began at 1. FK Příbram in 2016, where he played 71 league matches and scored six goals. In February 2020 he moved on loan to Bohemians 1905, and the deal became permanent that July. In 89 league games for the club he scored 21 goals, playing as a central or attacking midfielder and occasionally further forward.
In January 2023 Plzeň signed him. In August 2023 he went on loan to Sivasspor in the Turkish Süper Lig, where he played 24 league matches and scored once.
Květ has played for the Czech Republic at U20 and U21 level. In July 2026, after two seasons in Belgium, he went back to Bohemians 1905 on a free transfer and signed a contract until June 2029.
