About the player
Sulyman Krubally became Burton Albion's youngest competitive debutant when he came on against Tranmere Rovers in the EFL Cup on 19 August 2025. He was 16 years and 355 days old.
He had been at the club for five years by then. Krubally joined the academy in 2020 at under-13 level and stayed in Burton's youth setup until the first team called. He has not played for another club, on loan or otherwise. A right-footed midfielder, he plays either as an attacking midfielder or in the centre of the middle three.
His first League One appearance came four days after the cup debut, on 23 August, against Stockport County. He did not score, but he set up one league goal.
The club rewarded the breakthrough on 22 October 2025 with his first professional contract. It runs until 30 June 2027, with an option for a further year. In April 2026 he was named EFL League One Apprentice of the Season for the 2025/26 campaign.
