Sven Mijnans

Sven Mijnans grew up in the youth ranks of ADO Den Haag before returning to his hometown club, VV Spijkenisse, in 2018. From there he moved into Sparta Rotterdam's academy, playing for Jong Sparta and making his professional debut for the first team in September 2020. He made 80 Eredivisie appearances and scored eight goals, form that took him to AZ Alkmaar in January 2023 for a fee of €2.5 million on a contract until 2028.

At AZ, Mijnans established himself as a key player, making 105 league appearances and scoring 26 goals. In May 2025 he was named to the Eredivisie Team of the Month. He was part of the AZ squad that won the KNVB Cup in the 2025–26 season, beating NEC Nijmegen 5-1 in the final, and is credited with the title despite his subsequent departure, having been part of the winning campaign.

In July 2026, Mijnans transferred to PSV Eindhoven for a fee of €13 million, signing a five-year deal until June 2031.

Internationally, he has represented the Netherlands at Under-21 level, earning four caps, and has not yet made his debut for the senior national team.
