About the player
Slobodan Tedić's move to Manchester City in January 2020 turned into a lesson in patience. The Podgorica-born forward had made his name at Čukarički, where 66 league appearances and 13 goals persuaded City to pay around £2.7 million for him, but he never made a single senior appearance for the club. Instead, four years unfolded across three loan spells: PEC Zwolle in the Eredivisie, then Barnsley and Charlton Athletic in League One, where he gathered experience without ever forcing his way into City's plans.
In January 2024 he returned to Čukarički on a free transfer, and the second spell worked out rather better than the first. Over two seasons he scored 18 goals in 68 league appearances, re-establishing himself as one of the club's key attacking threats and earning Serbian SuperLiga Player of the Week honours for Round 9 of the 2025–26 season. That form led to a €400,000 move to FC Akron Tolyatti in the Russian Premier League in June 2026.
Tedić, who stands 190 cm tall, has represented Serbia at youth level from U17 through U21, but a senior cap has so far eluded him. He has yet to win a major trophy in his career.
