Santiago Galvez

Santiago Gálvez del Cuadro did not come through Deportivo Municipal's academy in the usual way. He joined the club after passing open trials advertised on social media, working his way up through the Under-18 side before earning a promotion to the first team. He made his professional debut with Municipal in the Peruvian Primera División in 2023.

Over two seasons at the club he made 27 appearances across Liga 1 and Liga 2, the second tier the club dropped into in 2024, scoring three goals and adding an assist. In January 2025 he moved on a free transfer to Cusco FC, where playing time was harder to come by: three Liga 1 appearances yielded a single goal.

A year later, in January 2026, he switched clubs again, joining UTC Cajamarca, once more as a free agent. Across his career to date, the Lima-born forward has played 34 professional matches and scored four goals.
