AS Agareb

Wanis Bouzidi was still in charge of AS Agareb when he died in 2025, and the town side he left behind carries on in the Tunisian Ligue 2, Group B. Agareb sits some 20 kilometres from Sfax, and the club that bears its name has never troubled the honours boards of Tunisian football — no national title, no cup run worth recounting.

There is no nickname attached to the club; players and supporters simply call it ASA, short for Astre Sportif d'Agareb, and leave it at that. The squad plays in red and white, and among the current group is Ramez Aouani, whose brother Raki plays up front for Étoile Sportive du Sahel.

Geography does more to define the club's rivalries than any trophy has. The derby that matters in the region, the Derby Sfaxien, belongs to Club Sportif Sfaxien and Sfax Railways Sports, but when AS Agareb takes on either of them the proximity alone gives the fixture an edge that a smaller club rarely gets to feel. Stade Agareb, where the team plays, holds 1,500 people.

For now the club's task is the same as it is for most sides at this level: hold a place in Group B.
