The pitch at Estadio Alfredo Di Stéfano sits inside Ciudad Real Madrid, the club's training complex in Valdebebas, and holds 5,797 seats. Before settling there, the side had moved through smaller pitches: a municipal ground in Canillas, Las Cárcavas in Hortaleza, García de la Mata in Ciudad Lineal.

That club was Club Deportivo Tacón, founded in September 2014. Real Madrid's shareholders approved absorbing it in September 2019, and on 1 July 2020 Tacón stopped existing as an independent entity, its players and history folded into what became Real Madrid Femenino.

Trophies have not followed the badge since. The closest the team has come is a runners-up finish in the league in 2020-21 and in the Supercopa de España, with quarter-final exits in the Women's Champions League in 2021-22 and again in 2025-26. Olga Carmona captains the side, and El Clásico against Barcelona Femení carries the same weight it does for the men, sharpened further by the Derbi Madrileño against Atlético.

Pau Quesada took charge with a squad built around Carmona, Athenea del Castillo and the Colombian forward Linda Caicedo.
