Women's Asia Cup (Sierra Leone) 2022/23

The Women's Asia Cup is the premier international cricket competition for Asian nations. Organised by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC), it ranks above regional qualifiers but below ICC global tournaments. The tournament began in 2004 in Sri Lanka as an ODI event before switching to Twenty20 format in 2012.

India holds the record with seven titles. Bangladesh and Sri Lanka won their first trophies in 2018 and 2024 respectively. The 2024 edition expanded to eight teams split into two groups. The top two sides from each group progress to the semi-finals.

Six nations competed in the 2022 season: India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Thailand and Malaysia. Participation relies on regional qualification or invitation for top-tier nations. The event serves as a key qualifier for the ICC Women's T20 World Cup.
