Sri Lanka Women arrive at every Asia Cup now as the side to beat. That win sits alongside a run at the Asian Games that has taken them from bronze in Incheon to silver in Hangzhou.
A World Cup remains the missing entry on the list; the closest the team has come is fifth place, in 2013.
Much of the recent identity of the side is bound up in Chamari Athapaththu, the captain and the leading run-scorer in the team's history. Further back, Chamani Seneviratne remains the only Sri Lankan woman to have scored a century in a Women's Test.
Home matches are shared between the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, which holds 35,000, and the smaller P. Saravanamuttu Stadium. The rivalry that matters most to the players is with India, with Bangladesh and Pakistan following behind in intensity.
