West Indies Women

That regional composition is itself the story of the side's early years. The first Test came against Australia in May 1976, followed by a match against India that October, but full membership of the International Cricket Council did not arrive until 2005, once the International Women's Cricket Council folded into it.

That rivalry, and a separate one with England, has shaped most of what the Windies are remembered for beyond those two finals.

Individual milestones tend to belong to Deandra Dottin, who scored the first century in Women's T20 International history and later became the first player to reach 100 sixes in the format. Anisa Mohammed's bowling did something similar at the other end of the game: she was the first cricketer, male or female, to take 100 wickets in T20Internationals.
