About

The Supercopa de Chile is an annual domestic supercup competition organized by the Asociación Nacional de Fútbol Profesional (ANFP). Founded in 2013, the tournament sits at the top of the Chilean football pyramid, distinct from the Primera División and the Copa Chile. It serves as the season opener, typically held in January or February.

The format changed significantly in 2026 to a "Final Four" mini-tournament. This edition features the winners and runners-up of both the Primera División and the Copa Chile, played at a single neutral venue. Matches consist of single legs; if tied, they go directly to penalties without extra time. Previously, the contest was a single match between the league champion and the cup winner, with the runner-up stepping in if a team won both titles.

Colo-Colo and Universidad Católica are the joint most successful clubs, each with four titles. Colo-Colo won in 2017, 2018, 2022, and 2024. Universidad Católica won in 2016, 2019, 2020, and 2021. Other winners include Unión Española, O'Higgins, Universidad de Chile, and Magallanes. The current holder is Coquimbo Unido, who won their first title in the 2026 edition by defeating Universidad Católica 8-7 on penalties after a 0-0 draw.

There is no promotion or relegation associated with the competition. The 2024 final was notable for being suspended due to fan violence and resumed months later.
