Match report
Albion and Danubio played out a 2:2 draw at the Torneo Intermedio seventh round on August first. The Primera - Apertura fixture ended level after both sides traded leads across the ninety minutes. To be fair, neither team dominated for long stretches of the game.
J. Trasante opened the scoring for Albion in the twelfth minute, but M. Peralta responded just four minutes later to make it one apiece. The visitors held that balance until H. Silveira had a goal cancelled by VAR for offside in the twenty-seventh minute. And here's the thing — that call shifted something in the way the game unfolded.
Albion took the lead again when T. Figueroa found the net in the fiftieth minute. Danubio levelled through J. Alvarez in the fifty-eighth, and the match settled into a pattern of cautious exchanges. Yellow cards came for M. Peralta, C. Airala, M. Rinaldi, M. Brasil, L. Sosa and H. Toledo by the end.
The stats tell you Albion controlled territory. They registered 101 attacks compared to Danubio's 68 and held 65 percent possession. But shots on target and shots off target both read zero for either side — a reminder that possession doesn't always mean chances created.
Albion sat in ninth place with 34 points after 27 games, while Danubio held fifteenth spot on 24 points. Neither result moved them dramatically in the table, and both sides carried their recent form into the draw — Albion's two wins and three draws, Danubio's single victory and four draws over their last five outings.
