Zimbru II were sitting fifth with seven points, having drawn 1:1 with Univers Comrat midweek. They had also lost five of eight games this season, including a heavy 5:1 defeat away at Vulturii Cutaştori. By then the gap was already clear.
The visitors had a closer result last time they met Iskra, losing 2:1 on their own patch in August. This time the scoreline was wider, and the pattern held. Zimbru II could not find a way through the home defence.
Iskra remain one place ahead of their nearest challenger while Zimbru II sit four points off the top four. The result does not change the order, but it does widen the distance between the two sides.
