Nancy SLUC — Paris Basketball: 73:78, LNB

Paris Basket secured a narrow victory over Nancy SLUC with a final score of 78-73 in the National Basketball League on Saturday evening. The result keeps the visitors at the summit of the table while Nancy remain in tenth place after thirty matches played.

Paris Basket managed the contest with greater composure when it mattered most. They converted their opportunities more efficiently, particularly from the free-throw line where they attempted sixteen attempts compared to Nancy's twenty-seven. To be fair, Nancy did create plenty of chances but could not capitalise consistently enough.

The statistics tell a story of possession and control. Paris Basket recorded seventeen assists to Nancy's nine, showing better ball movement throughout the ninety minutes. Both sides hit eight three-pointers, but the visitors completed them with more purpose. Nancy dominated the boards with thirty-six rebounds against Paris Basket's thirty-five, yet it meant little in the end.

We had tipped the away side to win, placing our confidence at sixty-eight percent. And here's the thing — that assessment held up under pressure. Paris Basket's recent form had been mixed, including defeats to Panathinaikos and Monaco, but they found another gear when Nancy pushed back.

By then, the gap had opened enough to settle the question. Paris Basket extended their lead to eight points with twelve minutes remaining and never looked back. The result leaves them eight points clear at the top, while Nancy's defeat does nothing to improve their position in the lower half.
