Slovan Bratislava — Podbrezová: 3:0, Super Liga

Slovan Bratislava defeated Podbrezova 3-0 in the Superliga's Regular Season round two, played on August first. The home side took all three points at their ground, extending their winning start to the campaign. By then it was clear they had the upper hand from the opening exchanges.

R. Ibrahim opened the scoring in the seventh minute, a moment that settled any nerves early. Podrezova responded with a yellow card for D. Ignatenko in the sixteenth, and the home side kept their composure through the first half. At the break, M. Rusnak came on for Podrezova, a change that did little to shift the momentum.

The second half saw A. Maros replace another away player in the sixty-third minute, while K. Miljanic followed in the seventy-third. Slovan doubled their advantage when A. Mustafic found the net in the sixty-eighth, then added a second in the seventy-ninth. J. Medvedev arrived for the visitors in the eightieth, but the damage was done.

Podrezova remain sixth on ten points after seven matches, three wins, one draw and three losses. The gap between them widens, and Slovan's record suggests they are building something worth watching.
